What to Do in These California Cities This Spring

Up and down the Pacific coast of California, you’ll find no shortage of things to do. With tons of beaches to choose from, fashion-forward shopping opportunities for fringe purses, bell bottoms and other classic 60’s styles, a wide variety of restaurants and bars, family-friendly amusement parks, and so much more, there’s no doubt that California should be your next travel destination. Be sure to check out these five cities this spring and everything they have to offer.

Los Angeles

Los Angeles is easily one of Southern California’s most popular cities for many reasons. Home to a variety of tourist attractions, you’ll certainly stay entertained during your time here. Film fanatics should definitely check out Universal Studios Hollywood, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and Hollywood Boulevard. If you’re more into nature and wildlife, you’ll enjoy Griffith Park, which is home to hiking and biking trails as well as the Los Angeles Zoo. For views overlooking the whole city, there is nowhere better than the iconic Hollywood Sign. Before planning your itinerary, be sure to book a room in one of these popular Los Angeles hotels.

Laguna Beach

Whether you’re wanting a relaxing getaway lounging around on the beach, or you’re in the mood for an adventure-packed vacation, Orange County’s Laguna Beach has it all. Spend the day surfing, paddleboarding, swimming, and snorkeling at Crystal Cove State Park, Main Beach, and Crescent Bay Point Park. Need a break from the beach? Grab lunch at one of Laguna’s top restaurants, such as Laguna Coffee Company, Madison Square, or Las Brisas. As far as where to stay, look no further than these top-rated Laguna Beach hotels for comfortable rooms and quality service.

Torrance

One of California’s lesser-known cities, Torrance is nonetheless an ideal destination for travelers seeking an adventure. This city offers parks, museums, restaurants and bars galore, art galleries, breweries and wineries, and plenty of budget-friendly hotels to choose from. Some of the top attractions here are Wilson Park, Western Museum of Flight, Chen Art Gallery, Del Amo Fashion Center, Torrance Antique Street Faire, and Torrance Certified Farmers’ Market. These sites and more will surely keep you entertained during your stay in Torrance.

Fresno

Although Fresno is not one of California’s beach destinations, you’ll still enjoy your time here when you visit top attractions such as Fresno Chaffee Zoo, Forestiere Underground Gardens, Woodward Regional Park, and Shinzen Japanese Garden. Another perk of Fresno is that it’s closeby to other Cali destinations like Bakersfield, Fremont, Sacramento, and San Francisco. Book a room in one of these affordable Fresno hotels and start planning your trip today.

Carmel

One of California’s more remote beach towns, Carmel is an ideal place to kick back and relax while you enjoy the sand and surf. Most of the town’s most popular tourist attractions are either beaches or parks, making it the perfect destination for nature lovers everywhere. Be sure to check out Point Lobos State Reserve, Carmel City Beach, Carmel by the Sea, and Seventeen Mile Drive. After your day by the beach, get a restful night’s sleep in one of these budget-friendly Carmel hotels.
