Canada, Campobello Island, President Roosevelt’s Summer Home

Sometime in the mid-1980’s, we visited Eastern Canada, and the New England states. We saw the name “Campobello” on the map, and since we have visited the homes and/or the libraries of several presidents (Eisenhower, Nixon, Reagan, Truman, Hayes), decided we wanted to see President Roosevelt’s summer home.
As we approached the home near Lubec, Maine, we drove across Franklin D. Roosevelt Bridge and were surprised to see the large, elaborate entrance gate, we thought — we were surprised to find it was a border crossing point between Canada and the USA, then we found ourselves in New Brunswick, Canada.
Can you imagine our surprise to find a US President had a summer home in another country.
We found the family dining room table was "set" with Apple Pattern dishes, exactly the same pattern Emmy has owned for well over 50 years.
