Stratford-Upon-Avon, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage

Stratford2.jpg

The world famous Anne Hathaway’s Cottage was the childhood home of Shakespeare’s wife and has been a pilgrimage for visitors for centuries. Shakespeare courted Anne here and at the age of 18, William married Anne Hathaway. The beautiful thatched farmhouse was occupied by descendants of the Hathaway family, and still contains many rare items of furniture that date back to Anne’s time.
