Mt. St. Michel, Nightime #2

Mt_Michel_night2.jpg

In all of our wanderings across the countryside we were careful not to miss “le Mont-St.-Michel,” four different years. If we needed a reason to tour this part of France, we have found it.

One evening, as the sun was setting through the clouds and the floodlights were gradually illuminating the Abbey, we walked the two kilometer causeway that connects Mont-St.-Michel with the mainland, and took a couple dozen photos of the ever-changing diaphanous scene in front of us. The Mont is in sight of the campground located on the mainland, and as may well be imagined, the view of sunset and sunrise from the RV’s dining or bedroom window is magnificent.

Photo-Tidbits “Mont-St.-Michel at night, 3 and 4,” show other photos taken during our 3 mile stroll that same evening.
