I remember buying it, but I don’t remember where.

On Via Della Vite, we shopped in one of Rome’s outdoor street markets, where food, “fleas,” clothing, and artwork were for sale. One man had a push-cart filled with brass and copper objects. We bought three intriguing 20-inch-high brass oil lamps that had been used in church ceremonies of some kind.
We found the same lamps in other places in Italy, and in one place in Germany, with a price at least twice what we paid that street vendor in Rome.
One was given to my sister, another to a business partner.

Isn’t it pretty! Seems it was in Italy, but how could I even think I remembered such a thing. If my Sweetie wanted it, I bought it, and that’s all there was to it.

If I was supposed to tell where she got these, I would say the College of the Desert weekly Flea Market, in Palm Desert, California. I know they were used several years, in the local church at Christmas.

Near Cortina, Italy, we stopped at a very large brass and copper store. The items for sale overflowed the store, and filled the parking lot. We bought three little candlestick holders, plus this larger one that is about 8 inches high. Another large candlestick holder was converted into an electric desk lamp.
