Vatican, From St. Peter's Dome

(2 photos)
Disputes between a series of popes and the country of Italy were resolved on February 11, 1929 by three Lateran treaties, which established, under Mussolini, the independent state of the Vatican City and granted Roman Catholicism special status in Italy.
These two photos of the City-State, The Vatican, were taken from the very tip of the dome of St. Peter’s, in the Vatican. The top photo shows the building north of St. Peter's, that contains the Vatican Museums. The Sistine Chapel is located in this building, but to the right, just out of the photo.

This photos was taken to the west of St. Peter's, and shows buildings designated on the map of the city, as the "Govematorato," and "Collegio Etiopico." I can't find a translation, but I would guess that means Government Offices, and a school of some kind.
