Vignettes from Jim and Emmy's years of travel

Wiesbaden, City Gate

Wiesbaden.jpg
Here’s another mystery photo.

The slide was labeled “Wiesbaden,” and as far as I know that is correct. I certainly remember seeing this beautiful city gate somewhere, but I can find nothing that confirms it was in Wiesbaden. Your comments please.

===============

Well Hooray for readers of my site. In March 2006 I received an Email from “Heiko” from Wiesbaden, who said I was correct. This is Wiesbaden’s Roman Gate, built in 823 AD.

It is terrible that I have thousands of slides that are not labeled. Many times I have gone on the Internet and looked at other photos taken at the place where I think my slide was taken, and I have been proven correct time after time — but not every time
