Otranto, White City

Isn’t this wonderful. I just received an Email from someone in England who told me, “Should point out that your photo and description of 'Otranto' are actually of Ostuni ... I've just come back from both places!!”
Well, with the thousands of places wse have visited, and the thousands of photos we have, a mistake is possible.
You help is appreciated, and this is not the first correction I have received from viewers of my Web Site.
Ostuni is a city of white buildings sitting on a sheer cliff above a clear blue sea, along a coast with beautiful beaches and holiday resorts in Puglia, Italy's "heel." Surrounded by walls, the historical town-center stands on the south shore of the port, while the new town has expanded inland. It was a Greek and then a Roman town, and in the Middle Ages, thanks to its port, it was one of the more important towns in this part of Italy. There’s an imposing Castle and a splendid Romanesque cathedral with a beautiful mosaic floor.
