We often give talks entitled "Let's talk about travel in Europe," and this is a portion of the program we hand out.

Place most any name below, in the Search Tidbits box on the upper right, and you will get every place that name occurs in our site.

Our Travel Philosophy

• We are not campers, we travel in a Recreation Vehicle because
Our clothes are on a hanger.
There are goodies in the refrigerator.
We know who used the toilet last.

• We travel with the idea that
If we have no schedule, we aren’t late.
If we don’t care where we are, we aren’t lost.
If we have no itinerary we’re exactly where we ought to be.
If we can’t see IT this trip, we’ll see IT next time.

• When we travel
It’s amazing how many stupid, ignorant, inefficient people we meet if we are in a bad mood.

• We have published three books about our travels in Europe.

Invitation to France
Invitation to Germany
Invitation to Italy

They are available at http://www.InvitationToTravel.com

• For us the RV means:
Stove — Our cook was the best in Europe
Refrigerator for food and goodies
Our own Beds, Pillows, Blankets
Chemical toilet, we know it’s clean, and we know where it is.
Shower, hot water, our own soap and shampoo
Clothes on hangers
Storage for all we buy
Costs that we can afford
Convenience beyond your wildest imagination

• The RV and a campsite make a convenient, quiet, comfortable place to spend the night so we are rested and ready to sightsee again in the morning. In travel, as in life — different strokes for different folks.

• We don’t say our way is the only, the best, or even an acceptable way to travel, for anyone but us. The camping is not important, the sightseeing is.

• Reservations for nightly accommodations are never made, and when we leave a campsite in the morning, we often have no idea which country we will be in by evening. But we do know it will be a delightful day.
