August 8 - 14

ON BOARD THE AQUITANIA

Sailing east the sky was bright;
The waves danced all day long in light
Gay clothes made decks a lovely sight
Each dinner hour looked like a feast.
But my depression never ceased,
Sailing east.

Sailing west the sky is gray;
The clouds pile higher all the day.
But I have those, not far away
With whom to talk, with whom to jest
And know the homeward road is best
Sailing west!
