Wedding Anniversaries, Galore

When my sister Martha celebrated her 50th Anniversary in September 2004, our family must have set a record for Golden Wedding Anniversaries, or does that mean we are 'ol stuck-in-the-mud's!!!

Our parents missed their 50th by two months, six of the seven children have celebrated their 50th, their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

Russell and Marie Humberd, married in Flora, IN, July 1915.
Missed their 50th Anniversary by two months.
Russell died in Flora, IN, May 1965.
Marie died in Warsaw, IN, July 1986.

Harold and Mary Stayer, married in Martinsburg, PA, April 1939.
Celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 1989.
Mary died in Flora, IN, May 2000.
Harold lives in Flora, IN.

Paul and Leila Humberd, married near Delphi, IN, Nov. 1946.
Celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 1996.
They live in Warsaw, IN.

Jesse and Laura Humberd, married in Ohio, August 1942.
Celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 1992.
They live in Winona Lake, IN.

John and Betty Humberd, married in Martinsburg, PA, December 1947.
Their 50th would have been celebrated 1997.
John died in Martinsburg, PA in December 1981, they missed by 16 years.
Betty was born and raised near Martinsburg, now lives near York, PA.

Gus and Esther Coats, married in Flora, IN, June 1951.
Celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2001.
Esther died in Palmdale, CA, December 2003.
Gus lives in Palmdale, CA.

James and Emmy Humberd, married near Chicago, Il, June 1951.
Celebrated their 50th Anniversary on a cruise ship, in 2001.
They live in Burbank, CA.

Don and Martha Allbaugh, married in Flora, IN, September 1954.
Celebrated their 50th Anniversary in September 2004.
They live near Delphi, IN.
