Vignettes from Jim and Emmy's years of travel

Poland

Gdansk, Rooftop view

PL_Gdansk.jpg

There are a couple of hundred steps to the top of the Kosciol Mariacki (St. Mary's Church) steeple, and from there, we looked over the city. The main railway station is an attractive brick building, but we didn’t get the chance to visit inside. We drove around the city some more, and visited the church of the priest who was in close support with the Solidarity movement some years ago, then drove past the home of Lech Welesa, who then President of Poland.
