Freiburg, Martinstor, Golden Arches

Look for Kaiser Joseph Strasse then walk towards the Martinstor, or town gate. One arch is under the 200 foot tower, and another is just to the right of the main tower. Now these are really Golden Arches. Go inside the town gate, turn right, and you will actually find burgers and fries, and clean restrooms. (It's hard to read, but that really is the word "McDonald's" on the gate.)

======

Freiburg’s runnel is a small rivulet that has run in its own special channel (about twelve inches wide and six inches deep), right down Kaiser Joseph Strasse, then on Rathausgasse past the City Hall, for the last 700 years. When a store owner needs to wash his sidewalk, the water is readily available.
