Bamberg, City View

D_Bamberg_City_Viewl.jpg

During one visit the flower gardens and flower pots in Bamberg were plush with flowers, as seen along this rail above the river. The City Hall on an island, with the pretty little half-timbered building called Häuslein, just sort of hung on the end of the building, can be seen in the middle of the photo. Really a beautiful, interesting city which we still have not seen in the sunshine, during any of our three visits.

The two nights in two different years that we spent at the campsite in the suburban town named Bug, it rained and rained. One other year we spent much of the day visiting Bamberg, mostly in the rain. What is remembered depends a lot on sunshine or rain. In either case what we see is exciting, but when we have another chance to see Bamberg, we will pray for sunshine.
