Dubrovnik, City View

(2 photos)
Dubrovnik must be about the most beautiful, in its own way, and the most unique (that word does apply, look it up — all synonyms in our computer’s thesaurus apply!) walled city we have seen. How can we apply the same words to Dubrovnik as we do to Paris and the thousand other walled, and formally walled cities we have visited, since they are so different? But what other words can we use, all we have is the English language!
Each of the three times we have visited, the roads for miles in all directions were crowded, no parking places could be found. So, again we parked our RV in a tourist bus spot, and no one seemed to care. We walked quite a distance, then rode the cable car (built in 1969) high on the mountain (from where this photo was snapped) overlooking Dubrovnik. The wall around this city is very high and wide, and we walked on the top, part of the way around.
At one place the wind blew Emmy’s blue sun-visor off (I had purchased two blue sun-visors in Athens, and lost my blue sun-visor in the Blue Mosque in Istanbul), and I climbed flight after flight of stairs and found Emmy's blue sun-visor along the base of Dubrovnik’s wall. That blue sun visor is still in use today.
(Did you notice the multiple use of the word "blue"? Well, after we left, the Blue Mosque was more blue than before we arrived!!!)
=============

When I first saw this photo, I was sure it was Dubrovnik, and maybe it is, but I am not so sure.
