Boat Travel in Greece
Greece - Athens, to Míkonos; Istanbul; Yalta; Odessa: SS Odysseus spent a day on the Greek Island of Míkonos, then on to Istanbul, Turkey, and Odessa and Yalta, Soviet Union, in the Black Sea. We returned through the Bosporus, past Istanbul, to Athens.
Greece - Athens, to Míkonos; Pátmos; Kusadasi; Rhodes; Crete; Santoríni: Our cabin on the SS City of Rhodes had a small closet, bunk beds, a porthole, and about three feet of floor space, the length of the beds. The tiny bath had a porthole, sink, shower, and toilet.
Greece - Rio, across the Gulf of Corinth, Twice: Men were directing traffic, and told this one to back on, and that one to drive on, and if they had a reason to do one or the other, it sure wasn’t obvious. We had to back on each time, no problem.
